This works great for large pies. However, when it said it was adjustable I got the idea I could use if for pot pies. No, won't work and that is what I needed. I already had some for larger pies.

It is great if you want to buy 1 product to suit small medium and large sized crusts. You just overlap 4 or 5 of the strips to match your needs. The material is flimsier than I was expecting, a thick aluminum I think, so they do require careful usage and storage.

These are way overpriced, but they are still better than using aluminum foil.They are not much thicker than aluminum foil though.They sell here on amazon solid one piece pie shields up to 11 inch diameter.If I had to do it over, I would probably purchase the 11 inch and cut it into four pieces and fill in the gaps with aluminum foilBy the way, I needed this larger size for the Norpro high dome pie pan which I like but there is no pie shield large enough to fit.
