The seller is first rate in handling and shipping. The pan is too shallow (I expected at least 1.25-1.75 depth). Having several 7" tin pie pans from Sur La Table that are a 1.5" depth and holding 1.5c volume; I needed a similar size ceramic pan. This was 4x the price of the tin pan and holds less than 1c volume. Perhaps someone could use these for a custard confection but find it unacceptable fora fruit pie.I would be better off with the Fiesta 6 3/8" ceramic baker.Vendor is in Canada making returns more complicated for U.S. returns.

I love Rose. Her pie bible is one of the best but I feel she slipped calling this a mini pie plate.Definition: A mini pie is any pie less than or equal to six inches in diameter. Mini pies shall be small enough to be held by one hand without it being cut or modified after being baked or prepared for eating.Mini pies in the looser since can include pies not of circular forms but are less than six inches in size. These include: Pie turnover, Pie pop, Empanada, Pierogi and Samosa if you go around the world.I don't think a 7-inch pie can be held by one hand.Rose, please change the name to "Small Pie Plate."These pans are pretty but will show signs of wear after daily use. I love pies and bake at least two a week.
