I thought this was an extravagant purchase until I actually used them when baking frozen chicken pot pies. Just place one of these on top, bake as directed, and lift it off when the pie is done. Nothing could be easier. No muss, no fuss, just hassle-free preparation.

I became interested in making mini pies when I wanted to offer samples of the fruit pies that I make. Because I find making foil shields for the edges, I was happy to find these cool shields. They fit perfectly over the edges of the mini pie pans I use, clean up easily, and store flat. What can I really say? They do what they are supposed to and have made my baking life easy!

This isn't rocket science. You put the pot pie on a cookie sheet, you put the shield over the pot pie, place it all in a pre-heated 400 degree oven and ....... wait about an hour. The result is ...... not much different than if you had no "shield" ....... maybe slightly, but not much. Would I get the shield again? ........ No.
